How to get around Call Tracking with SEO local?

It is very clear that local search prefers to locate matching phone numbers across the web in the form of citations or NAP's. Shouldn't my site have the same number instead of the call tracking number?

Agencies encounter this challenge everyday, often without even noticing.

What is the easiest way to get around this issue? Is there a 1 fit remedy?

Please share with us what works best and why.

Cheers!

Call tracking is almost always a two prong issue, first you have to be able to track if the call originated from an Ad Extension or your website or someone else's website. I like you use events on websites I manage to track when the phone number is clicked and for mobile AdWords ads, you can use their extension. https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2453991?hl=en

As for tracking them once the call has started, yes you want to be as uniform as possible with your phone number. IF you company has a VOIP phone service, you need to see if the software can be configured to allow this tracking.
