Happy Sunday Y'all.  Here’s 5 tips that I use when finding clients.

 

1. Choose a niche.

Choose an area you want to focus on. You set yourself apart by picking a niche in marketing. For me it’s automotive and legal PPC. Clients are more likely to trust a PPC specialist who is focused on a certain industry rather than one who has their attention spread across multiple industries.

 

2. Build a list of Clients and Referrers

Yes we practice digital, but word of mouth is one of the best ways to build up your clients. Talk with other agencies that do not handle PPC. These can be design, content, or seo agencies. You can trade work.

 

3. Give Free Resources to Your Community

You should create free resources for people visiting your website. Providing marketing information to local businesses builds trust in your community. It will make you an influencer and provide you speaking opportunities.

 

4. Network with Local Businesses

Your painter, your plumber, furniture sales person and your lawn care specialist are perfect for passing out your business cards. You in turn can pass out theirs. Most businesses need some type of marketing.

 

5. Make it Easy for Clients to Find You

Clients are connecting in various ways: facebook, twitter, linkedin, email, phone, and even snapchat. The easier it is for a client to contact you the better.

I think this is absolutely critical, since you can only succeed as much as your community succeeds. Pay it forward wherever possible.
