I just created a new web site, it shows "coming soon" when in fact it is live. It won't find the web page unless I type in full address, in fact I can try any way i like it doesnt find it, what can I do to have this show up? am I doing something wrong?

Hello,

My name is Crystal and I am an SEO/PPC Specialist..

Okay it sounds like you need to do optimize your site. This is not necessarly a Google issue. Yes Google pulls the meta information but it is up to you to put the information there for the Google bot to read. What it is pulling is the meta description from when the site was being constructed. You have to tell Google what keywords you want to show up for..

This is Adwords related forum where the forum members discuss about tips and tricks related to Google's product called Adwords.

I think you should talk to your web adminstrator or may be your web hosting company to deal with this.

Hello,

I think I misinterpreted in the beginning. Are you saying that you want to show your website in Google search when somebody types in any keyword or something? Let me know if that's the case here. And are you talking about natural search engine results or talking about sponsored results?

Please clarify...

Hi Debraspace,

I think you should consider posting your question to Google Webmaster Forum:

http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/webmasters

I believe you will get more precise and accurate suggestions from there as in this community we talk about Advertising Model - Google Adwords.

Please feel free to ask any questions that relates with Adwords!

Yes, that's correct no matter how I search for it, it just does not show up unless I type in the full address but even then it shows coming soon when in factsit is live my provider said google need key words or the likes I have looked this up and it suggested I put Adwords in and they charge me by times clicked I can't believe google intentionally withhold a website if you don't opt for this, but I can't get it to come up. I also read until they give you the ok you don't get to advertise on other sites - true local etc it almost seems pointless having a website. I think personally this is nonsense and some how I am missing something

Hello again,

You need to understand that there are 2 things you are talking about here, which are quite different in my opinion and do not relate to each other.

One is Search Engine optimization, where you create meta tags, write quality content on your website and all and try to improve the organic rankings. These results are shown in the middle of Google search results.

Another is Search Engine Marketing where in you bid on the keywords and pay to Google under an advertising platform called Google Adwords so that your ads are shown on either top or right hand side of Google search pages.

Now in case you need to optimize your website which is search engine friendly, follow the link provided by Neha above. You can read more about in this article also.

In case, you want to advertise your website on Adwords, you can ask as many question as you can here. Also, you might consider reading this reference.

Hope this helps!

Pankaj

Hi there,

Just to add, that as your question seems to be about the natural search results, the Webmaster Tools site in this link might be able to help.

Hi Pankaj1782,

I don't necessarly agree I think that SEM and SEO are tied together. Yes, how we make our decision on which keywords to use are different but I feel they are closely tied. I have been an SEO/PPC Specialist for over 5 years and I feel that knowing SEO helps me peform better on the SEM side
