The Keyword Tool will also give you suggestions for keywords, but will also give you an estimate of the number of global and local searches for the keywords it suggests for you. However, if you use the Traffic Estimator you get a lot more data on the level of traffic and can see this visually represented in a graph.

Depending on what you're trying to do, both could be handy!

Hope this helps!

Hi Nilam,

I'm glad that helped a bit!

I wouldn't say the Traffic Estimator is tougher to understand, it just gives you a lot more information to play with. The Keyword Tool is a bit more streamlined in terms of the information on potential clicks and traffic you might be getting.

Enjoy playing around with the tools!

i can't understand what should be "MAX cpc" and "daily budget" so its too tough. bit worried about that investment in keyowrd, will not result in fruitful output too. Smiley Frustrated

Hey nilam,

A couple of good rules of thumb with Max CPCs and Daily Budgets are:

Daily Budget - this should be the amount per day for the campaign that you are comfortable spending. AdWords will try and reach your daily budget each day, so make sure your daily budget is something you do not mind paying on a daily basis.

Max CPC - this should be the most that you are willing to pay for a click on an individual keyword. This amount should vary based on how important this keyword is to your campaign, so it can be helpful to use Manual Bidding and change your keywords based on how much return on investment they bring in to your business.

Hope this helps!

Very thankful to google and obviously to you Alys for such priceless knowledge sharing.

What if CPC we bid is Low then Maximum bid possible?

And what could we do with low budget as Dollar 5 to 10 a day and competition on keywords is very huge ?

Is there any way that we pay only if we get clicks or conversion ?

regards,

Nilam

Hi nilam,

Just to clarify, you only pay when someone clicks on your ad and they go through to your website, rather than when someone sees your ads.

If the competition is fierce for your keywords, you might just want to focus on the keywords that are the most important to you and try to work with them, or you could look towards more niche keywords that might be cheaper for you.

Does anyone else on the Community have any thoughts here?
