Hi All,

since a few days the masks in the merchant center are new. Now I see differences for shooping ads and display ads. So I see that some products in our feed are searchable by shopping, but refused for display ads. Why? I see also no explanation why they refused.

Can anybody helps me?

Kind regards

Michael

Google told me why.

In these decleined products are "dangerous" words. In our case it is the word "slot" which Google declined because of 'Gambling/Casino' goods. But our products are networking equipment and these have slots.

The "resolution" google told me to change these words in "non dangerous" words. In our case it is nearly impossible to change the word, because we import these descriptions automatically from the manufrakturer.

I cannot believe that Google refused these ads just because of one word, furthermore this word is used in many other descriptions. It is also strange that these products with this "dangerous" word are accepted for Google Shopping but not for display ads.

So you suggestions to use a separate feed or use a shared-library will not helps me so long if the descriptions hold these "Dangerous" word or so long if Google develops intelligent declining mechanism.

Michael

Hi Michael,
If you are using Google Shopping, you would be eligible to display ads in Google Search, YouTube and Display Network (dynamic remarketing).

You might problems with dynamic remarketing set up, please use this article for your reference:

Alexey,
we are using dyn. remaketing since months. I know the article you mentioned, but it does not helps me. Most of our products accepted in both, shopping and display ads, but some products are only accepted in shopping and we do not know why they are not accepted in display ads.

Hi Michael,

Have you cross checked the image size for those disapproved products. Is that size supported for banner ads?

Michael, how did you understood that your products are dissaproved for Dynamic remarketing?

You might lose traffic due to Low Ad.Rank or budget restrictions or might fully reach potential of your remarketing lists.

Please let me know more details so I can help you.

Hi Archit,
good question. What are image sizes are supported for dynamic banner ads?

Alexey
when going in mercant center under "products" I can select the desitination "display ads" and the status "inactive". Then I see all the products which are dissaproved. This has nothing to do with budget restrictions.

We do dynamic remarketing. Meeans upload a product feed into Merchant Center with description and a link where to finde a picture. With this information google generates a banner with a dynamic ad template we have choosen in adwords.

The link you gave me is for uploading banners what you habe to do if you have the "classic" google remarketing (not dynamic). So the link helps me not really.

Extremely sorry, but the link is just a reference for the banner ads sizes/formats.

Dynamic remarketing banner ads also use the same banner sizes and formats.

You can select any particular niche (education, flights, hotels, jobs, properties etc)offered by the adwords in the ad gallery or can select custom ads for your dynamic ads.

Go to "Layouts" and choose "Let AdWords automatically pick from your preferred layouts" or "Select one AdWords layout."

Ops,

marked the answer before as solution, what it is not for me.

I know that all, but my initial question is unresoved. I see at google merchant center that some products are rejected just for the display ads but not for shopping and no information why they are rejected.

regards

Michael
