how do i guarantee my ads and keywords will all be in the top 3?

Hello Rick,

 

Even if you bid higher than the suggested "top of page CPC" , your ads won't show all the time in the top 3, but the higher you bid the more often they will show up on the top 3 .

 

Use these instructions to display additional columns in the "keywords" tab to always see the suggested amount for "top of page bid" and then increase the bids to 10-20% more than that suggested amount and see how it works for a day or two.

You can also setup an automated rule to increase all the bids daily for the "top of page bid"

You cannot. what you can do is test to see what bid levels get you these positions - but you should also be aware that the "sweet spot" where you get your best ROI may not be in the top positions....

Hi Rick,

 

As Adrian and Stickleback say, its not guaranteed that your ad is shown at the top always.

 

But you can try changing few parameters to help your ads to be shown in Top 3.

And yes, not always, top 3 positions give good conversions but do incur higher costs hence high CPA.
