Hello All,

I have a website where we don't have scope for adding the thank you page to track the AdWords conversions. So, kindly guide me how to do event tracking for submit button of a query form and use them as goals and improt those goals in Google AdWords.

Thanks

Hi Roshan,

You can consult the links below for Event Tracking reference:
https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/analyticsjs/events
https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1033068?hl=en

Basically an event have a base structure such as:
ga('send', 'event', 'category', 'action');

And you can modify at will to serve you best, like:
ga('send', 'Form', 'Success', 'Form Sent');

Please, DO NOT insert your event code on the BUTTON itself. This is a mistake If by any chance someone fills the form with a typo or missing information and got a "missing field" or "review your information" you will count a conversion when there's none. You should fire the event upon Form SUCCESS submit. You can do that by hard coding if know, or using Google Tag Manager here:
http://www.google.com/tagmanager/

Then you simply goes to "Admin" and "Goals" section on GA, and follow these steps:
https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1032415?hl=en#create_or_edit_goals

Hope this helps.
