As Info correctly stated, CPM bidding is available for Display network only. For search network google shows average cpm but they don't charge avg cpm cost, they only charge you avg cpc per click. They just compare average amount per 1000 impressions against per click average amount.

In your campaign if impressions are 10,000 clicks are 150
avg cpc = $5 Cost = $750
average cpm = (750/10,000)*1000 = $75

On this basis average cpm of your campaign is $75. This doesn't mean if you run display campaign you will need to pay this amount. These are simple calculation by Google that they display in search campaign. You can simply ignore this metrics if working on search campaign.

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks

$75 is for 10,000 Impressions? or for 1000 impressions?
