excluding "win" from ad group with broad match of "windows"

I am getting a lot of lottery based keyword traffic by way of the single word "win" among a phrase such as "win for life".  This is in an ad group relating to a contractor offering window replacement services.  How can I exclude queries that mention "win" in the phrase as a stand along word?  I'm afraid if I use a regular negative keyword for "win" it will kill all of the "window" traffic along with it.

Thanks for your help!

No, negatives are not broad matched.  You can use:

-win

in your keyword list.

Also, you could use modified broad matches for your window keywords.  IOW, instead of using traditional broad matches, replace window with +window and windows with +windows in your keyword lists.  See:
