demographic targeting - how to remove it

Hi,

Recently we enabled demographic (age and gender) tabs in display network just to see data rather than to select any specific age groups or genders. So all the age groups and genders, including unknown category, were selected.

We found to our dismay that this led to a steep fall in impressions (we believe this was the cause). Now we don't know how to reverse this step and it is causing major problem. The setting for "display targeting" is as follows:

Selected targeting: keywords

Selected for bid management only: gender, age, placements

How do we remove gender and age from this setting?

Thanks

Maybe go and have a look at your change history in case there was something else that was changed as well. Maybe this is a coincidences and not the main cause.

Hi am,

I could see how it could have dropped if you didnt select the unknown category but it seems odd it would drop so much when you have everything selected. Did you try setting it back to all placements, ages, all genders again?

To change it go to the display tab and change the settings from there.

Yes, all ages and all genders are selected. However, the difference is that earlier no statistics in age and gender were showing (when these were not selected in display tab) and now the statistics is showing.

So theoretically, it should be same as not having selected the gender and age, but somehow the impact is very negative. And we don't know how we can remove this effect.
