Hello All of you..

Hope you all are good.

Today When i viewed call extensions (after clicking on dimension tab)found 138 click this months. What does it mean?

I cannot understand what is the meaning of this data. Can I understand that query searcher's call at that number or its just a click on that number?

Please reply it to clear this concept?

Hi,
Clicks on the call extension in dimensions tab shows the "clicks" not the call,as users may not have called 138 times but clicked for sure 138 times.
You can go through it for reference https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2453991?hl=en
Thank you Smiley Happy

Hello fakhruddin,

If you are looking at Call Extensions then I doubt you are within the Dimensions tab. If you navigate to the Ad Extensions tab and then change the drop down to Call Extensions there is a way to determine what these clicks actually mean.

Simply go to the Segment drop down button and choose Click Type, this will divide the clicks into:

Headline - When clicks are made on the first line of the ad itself rather than the extension.

Mobile clicks-to-call - The number of phone calls initiated from the ad with a call extension enabled.

Hello,

@Scott

About "If you are looking at Call Extensions then I doubt you are within the Dimensions tab. "

To quote from somebody's article here

https://www.en.adwords-community.com/t5/User-Articles/What-is-the-Dimensions-tab-and-how-can-I-use-i...

"  Call details - If you are using Call Extensions this Dimension provides additional information relating to your phone calls generated via AdWords. Each call has the following information recorded and presented to you within the Dimensions tab:"

The last column, Call type says in the info bubble " Mobile-click-to-call refers to calls initiated from clicks on a phone number in an ad...." , as seen in this print-screen :

Yep that's correct!

It's just the fact fakhruddin was referring to Call Extensions rather than Call Details (the Dimensions term) and was also mentioning clicks which made me think fakhruddin was looking at the Ad Extensions tab instead.
