Hi Irene,

Your ad position is determined by your Ad Rank in the auction. Your Ad Rank is a score that's based on your bid and your Quality Score.

So increasing your bids (pay more) can improve your ad position.

But trying to increase your quality score is the most profitable way, as this will improve your ad rank and also reduces your cost per click.

Find more information about ad rank, quality score and how to improve it in the links below.

Hope this helps,

Hi Irene,
To add to Deepak's great answer about increasing your Quality Scores, there are some quick ways you can work to increase your Quality Scores -
1. Add Negative Keywords - reducing the amount of irrelevant queries your Ads are serving for will reduce your Impressions and increase your CTR.
2. Write Targeted Ad Copy - make sure that the Keywords you're bidding on and the Keywords that your Ads are serving for are featured prominently in your Ad Copy. This should help improve the CTR of your Ads.
3. Make sure your Landing Pages are relevant to your Keywords.
