Hello Pushpendra,

Have you used the default Advanced Location Option ?

If so, use the second option, as described here :

  • People in your targeted location

This happened to me for the Display Network campaigns. You can read from here how Google matches the location : link

If you expand "Geo targeting on desktop " , it says

  • Google profiles
Ads on the Google Display Network may also be targeted using the declared location in customers' Google profiles, but only when they're signed in to their Google account. If the location on a customer's Google profile is different than the location determined from her IP address, the customer is eligible to see ads targeted to both locations."

1) Can you isolate the different location clicks to a campaign ?

2) Are those locations far from your targeted location ?

3) Are you targeting by radius or by city name ?

4) Is the error percentage less than 5 % ?

Thank you for answering, as you know nobody from the forum can see your account, such questions are necessary. Let's drill some more :

1) When you isolate campaigns, are those clicks in a campaign or more ? Are they in a Display Network campaign or also in a Search only campaign ?

2) Are the names of the Cities the same as some Cities in your own country ?

This can be explained if the search term included the City name , the person from another country could have seen ads from your account, when the default "Advanced location option" was used.

You can check this in analytics , at the "Matched search querry report" and "Secondary dimension = from Visitor choose Country/Territory "

3) It is good that you are not using radius, from previous forum messages this has been reported to have errors.

4) About the error rate, if it is extremely low, like less than 1 % I tend to ignore it since the IP location cannot be 100% accurate. Also there are people who use privacy browsers like proxy browsers to make themselves appear as from another location when navigating, maybe this can influence the display of Ads.
