When I go to set a bid adjustment for time of day I am only presented

Hi everyone,

I am having an issue with the bid modifiers for time of day.

When I have gone through to "Ad Schedule" I can only use bid adjustments for whole periods of time e.g 7am till Midnight.

How do you set a bid adjustment for a specific time or small time period?

Thanks,

Jonny

Hi @Jonathan H the way the scheduling works is a little odd...

In order to apply a bid adjustment for a specific period, that period needs to exist as a defined part of the custom Ad schedule in the first place.  So, for example, if you create a custom Ad schedule for a Campaign that splits the day into 00:00 - 08:00, 08:00 - 16:00 and 16:00 - 00:00 you can only apply a bid modifier for those periods not, for example, 12:00 - 15:00.

It's a bit of a chicken and egg situation; you need to know pretty well what time periods you want to adjust before you create the custom Ad Schedule.

Thanks Jon,

I thought that was the case however I found it weird that you would have to segregate all off the ad schedule to then apply a bid adjustment for each area.

Thanks for the assistance with this though, across the web there isnt much specific explanation about having to make a specific time period first.

Thanks
