What your thoughts about my campaign setup

Hello All,


I've been learning adwords for last past 6 years. I spend over 2000$ a day.


Here is how I build my campaign, someone told me it is not recommended but I have dozen of campaign built like this.


Campaign : Shoes


Adgroup : Shoes Strict

Keywords : [shoes], [blue shoes], [fast shoes]

Negative Keywrods : NONE


Adgroup : Shoes Broad Match

Keywords : "shoes", "blue shoes", [fast shoes"

Negative Keywrods : [shoes], [blue shoes], [fast shoes]


For me this is the BEST EVER way to have control on everything... What do you think so...


What about this alternative for the second group :


Adgroup : Shoes BMM

Keywords : +shoes, +blue +shoes, +fast +shoes

Negative Keywrods : [shoes], [blue shoes], [fast shoes]


I hired some agencies and I'M AMAZE how most of them put these 2 keywords in the same adgroup !!


Adgroup : Shoes AGENCY

Keywords : [shoes], "shoes"


For me that don't make sense...

Unless you're seeing a measurable difference in ROI between match types, separating campaigns by match type is just making extra work for you. Optimize your account for effectiveness, not tidiness!

If you do see ROI differences between match types, and you're willing to optimize around the differences, then match-type campaigns make sense.

For example, it's common to see higher conversion rates and/or conversion value for exact-keywords. In a situation like that, it makes sense to separate campaigns by match types, so you can optimize budgeting (and bidding) for the more effective exact-match keywords.
