To target a particular customer at particular time is called Real Time Bidding.
Is this fine definition? Can you please tell me with example?
The main advantage that u can target the specific audience by different parameters, like age, gender, interests etc. This data is provided by so-called DMP - data management platforms. There're many DMPs like DoubliClick, some Social Share buttons systems - this is their main monetization (they collect info about users: which sites they are visiting, what are doing etc).
Also there is DSP (demand-side platform) - actually the place where advertisers buy Ad on RTB-basis
RTB works on Demand side platform, where AdWords bidding applies into Google AdWords properties. DSP can has many ad exchange or properties.
In RTB, If Advertisers ads win the auction, then pay CPM basis. Though AdWords (Display Network) works same on auction basis and bidding is calculated on Effective CPM model. And bidding is calculated on basis of Quality score, average positions, CTR and Ad Relevancy.
AdWords has different bidding options, like CPC, CPM and CPA, which all comes under auction altogether and accept eCPM at time of bidding.
