Does adwords consider the state abbreviation the same as the state name being spelled out? If not, is it consider best practice to create a seperate ad group in the same campaign for the state abbreviation + keywords ?

Hi Carl,

First off, I'm assuming you are talking here about abbreviating states in your keyword list (as opposed to your ad-copy) so please correct me if I'm wrong. As state abbreviations are common, they will trigger on relevant queries with the full name and vice versa, regardless of match type. Consequently, no need to build out a separate campaign just for the abbreviation.
