Search Partners or No?

Can someone explain why one would choose to use or not use search partners? I had a SEM tell me that using search partners helps lower your CPC. Is it better to have seperate campaigns?

I think all it depends upon really is how has been the campaign performance on Search Partners. Based on the performance metrics only, you can decide whether you want your ads to be targeting Search Partners as well or not. Currently you cannot create a separate campaign targeting only Search Partners. You can go other way round i.e. Google search without search partners.

I would suggest you to segment the campaigns data by Network with search partners and then see how your campaigns are doing. Once you have good informed data, you can take the decision to keep them on or off.

My thoughts!
