Remarketing Auction

I'm curious to know if the display remarketing auction is separate from the traditional display auction?  For example, if a user is on www.sampledomain.com and I want to show him/her one of my remarketing ads, does my ad have a preferential seat in the auction or am I competing directly with other advertisers who are buying traditional display on www.sampledomain.com?

Hi there,

A very good question. As per my knowledge no matter what targeting method (Remarketing, Interest, Placements etc.) you are using you will always have to compete with other advertisers on display network.

Check out this link to see how ad auction on display network works. https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2996564?hl=en

Cheers,
