Period vs Comma changing top ad format

I notice that the top ad changes formats if you ad a period vs a comma at the end of the first description line.

e.g.

Bright Red Socks - Hand Woven Knit Socks.

Buy a Pair Now!

brightsox.ca

vs

Bright Red Socks

Hand Woven Knit Socks, Buy a Pair Now!

brightsox.ca

Is there a best practice as to which, in general, works better? Or do you just need to test?

Hi birchlore,

Nice find! That's exactly what it is designed to do. If your ad is in a top position and you want to add the first line of text to your headline, put a "stop character" (.!?) at the end of the line.

You will need to test.
