PPC Budget being exhausted by squatters

Is it possible for my competitors to squatt on the net and keep searching the key words and exhausting my account, ie what is the check to stop a repeated search on same key word from same IP address?


My fear is that my competitors exhaust my daily budget...


please advise

In most cases Google will spot this and refund the money spent on "false" clicks - but if you notice clicks coming from a specific IP address(es) you can block these using IP Exclusions in the Advanced Settings for each campaign. If you don't see the advanced setting section make sure you have selected All Features under General Settings - Type....

Google has sophisticated tools and techniques to keep watch on invalid click activity. You can read more on this topic in detail here:


Please note that repeated click from same IP address doesn't always be an invalid click.


Also, if somehow Google finds that there is some invalid click activity happened inside advertiser's account, the amount is credited back into the account.
