Hi Sanchitm,

If new advertisers are rapidly building new webisites and/or launching new AdWords campaigns your share will be shrinking and that's quite normal. You may want to fight back by continuously improving your Quality Score values, sometimes upping bids, improving the relevance of your compelling ad copies and Landing Pages. That should be part of a daily routine.

In case the average Ad Position did not drop the conclusion is that either it is seasonality or users click less frequently because they are taking a liking to natural search results.

Best,

Lakatos

Hi

Are you only targeting Google search?

What´s your agerage position?
What kind of keyword match type do you use?

Such a low CTR is, in my experience, most often due to use of broad match keywords.

Hi,

1) I have been using both Search and display network

2) Average Position is 3.3

3) Click through rate is 0.25%

Thank you for your support!

Regards,

Sanchit

The position question related to how avg Ad Position changed while the CTR dropped. What was the typical Ad Position before CTR started lowering?

5 days before, click through rate was 1.25% and average position was 2

Now, I see. You got more competitors running ads, avg Ad Position fell and so did CTR. The advice in my first entry applies.

Could also be that your quality score decreased, thus your adrank decreased, thus your ad position decreased - assuming you didn´t raise cpc bid - thus your ctr decreased

Still wondering about your match types
