My CPC is at or above "Estimated Top Bid", but my Average position is

Is Estimated Top Position broken?

I'm discombobulated, My CPC is at or above "Estimated Top Bid", but my average position is 6 to 11 as opposed to 1-6. My Quality scores are 10/10.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but is "Estimated first page bid" is presumibly position 10 estimate and "Estimated Top Bid" a Position 1 estimate??

I would think that Estimated top bid CPC would get position 1-4 results, but reports do not reflect that.

If thats the case, why is my average position for many keywords in the 6-11 range; is the "Estimated CPC" column busted or what?

Hi Max,

The estimated FPB values are based on historical averages but sometimes the advertising landscape may change very rapidly and can overwrite estimates. E.g. if a famous singer issues new numbers ads associated with him/her may duplicate in anticipation of a sales hike. - In such instances there might be substantial discrepancies even if your QS values are 10/10. In general, don't take FPB as a promise it's rather for orientation purposes.

Best,

Lakatos
