Mobile Device Preferred Camp

Going thru article about mobile device targetting, suppose we create  separate mobile preferred camp by making  device bid adjustment.

Is not it violate od adword policy ?

Same keywords in both camp will compete with each other.?

Hi Jeewan,

As per my understanding there is no way you only show up on Mobile, you can reduce your chances to show your ads on Computers & Tablets but not stop it.

Hence if you create 2 campaigns they will compete with each other.

Hi Jeewan & Rupesh,

Its depends on many factors. I have five campaigns for different cities. and I am targeting mobile only campaigns separately by using bid adjustment. Now for my computer/tablet campaign I am targeting top spot and for mobile campaign I am using 300% bid adjusment and targeting 2-3 position.

In my mobile targeting campaign, if mobile getting 900 clicks monthly computer device getting only 6 clicks because position here is 5-6. six clicks can be ignored if triggered in mobile campaign by computer.

So basically I wanna tell its depends on the market, location, position etc. From these five cities some campaigns (mobile only) are not getting even single click from computer device. For some portals mobile clicks cost are very close to computer clicks, in this case it is bit hard to target mobile only campaigns. Test and Try is what I can suggest!

As far as competition b/w campaigns is concerned I think Google system can easily recognize by bidding which campaign is targeting which device and made in such a manner that it won't harm.

Just a thought!
