Hi,

I keep picking up mobile app placements appearing under placements in GDN campaigns, even though it's excluded on campaign level. What's the reason for this? Is there anyway of fixing this?

Hi Friedl,

You can always exclude the role domain for mobile app traffic on Google Display Network, here is how:

To exclude all mobile apps on Display Network campaigns:

  1. From the Display Network tab, go to "Campaign Exclusions."
  2. In the "Placements" section, paste adsenseformobileapps.com.

Extracted from section "Formatting placement exclusions for mobile apps" over here:

Hope it helps.

Friedl, that's odd. Should work and I have it running on some accounts.

Can you please verify if the "adsenseformobileapps.com" is in the correct place? After selecting the proper campaign, click on the Display Network Tab, and navigate to the bottom of the page where it states “Campaign Exclusions.”

Make sure there's not dot "." at the end of that address.

What you told me now I did. Some of my accounts don't experience this problem, but I have 2 clients that currently have this issue

That's very strange. If you're sure it's in the right place, you should conctact Adwords team and check if there's no technical problem with those accounts.

What's the source of confirmation that there's traffic coming from mobile? Is it Google Analytics of Adwords it self?
