Low ad rank

Hi Guys,



I just happen to change Ad copies in my account and this has affected my QS for keywords. Now my ads are showing low ad rank and are not showing at all. I know increasing my bid would be one solution, is there any other way i can increase my ad rank?

Yes, Work with Quality Score and ad-extensions

Adrank: A value that's used to determine your ad position (where ads are shown on a page) and whether your ads will show at all. Ad Rank is calculated using your bid amount, the components of Quality Score (expected clickthrough rate, ad relevance, and landing page experience), and the expected impact of extensions and other ad formats.

So check all the components of QS which are below average and work to boost them(specially the CTR).

Also add some common ad-extenions including sitelink, call, callout and more as per your business.

Hi Abhijeet,

It is one of the common problem that an advertiser faces on changing the ad copies because changing an ad copy affects the relevancy, ctr and finally the Quality Score if ads created are not centered around the theme of the adgroup. In order to get things back on track work on the following points which will help you boost your CTR & quality score and finally the Ad Rank as it is the measure of Quality Score and Max CPC and relevant ad extensions.


1. Create new ad copies that are more relevant and themed with the adgroup.
2. Work on the Sitelinks especially the descriptive ones.
3. Also, check the SQR and remove the unwanted keywords which are just increasing the unwanted impressions.
4. Lastly, Work out on the bids to meet the competition.
5.Check the auction insights so that you can bid more precisely.
