Longer headline - but how?

Hi all

Few days ago I got this email from Google:

Because your 'XXXXX campaign' ad regularly appears in one of the top three positions above search results on desktop, you're eligible for a longer, more engaging headline.

Creating a longer headline is easy. Just add a full stop to the end of the second ad text description when editing your ad.

Right. Trouble is - either it isn't working, or, I don't know how to do it. I tried editing ads several times, always hitting the limit. Any ideas please?

Many thanks and Happy New Year Smiley Happy

Hey Chris

Welcome to Community!

Google has not changed the Characters Limit of the ad or exceed it, its just a new way to show your ads.

Google Will Combine your Description Line 1 or 2 with Ad Headline to make it more useful. You just have to add Full Stop and it should also make sense after adding the lines. Please see the below screen shot as example.

Hi Chris,

In addition to the above point, you can create the longer headlines by using the DKI ads.

Please follow the below link where I have explained it with examples:-
