Hi all,

My landing pages suffered a blow in the past 2 weeks (roughly around the time Adwords UI change). since then im struggling to get back to my previous positions\stats.

here is an exmple of one of the LP's i use:

http://affiliates.galapartners.co.uk/processing/clickthrgh.asp?btag=a_8506b_4598

My question is did the recent UI change gave the LP's a heavier weight in the quality score calculation and what should i do to improve LP's score?

Any help will be most appreciated.

Eyal.

Hello Eyal R, Welcome to the Community

The User Interface change in AdWords is just a new "drawing" of the elements on the screen, it has no impact on keywords or QS.

Is that really your landing page or just an affiliate link to invite users from this forum to join a game ? It leads to this domain :

What country are you targeting? This landing page violets the "casinos and gambling" section of the Policy. It is just a matter of time until the account is banned...

Hi Adrian,

That is the link i use in Adwords, it routes through the affiliate system for tracking,
I know that the upfront answer is that the change in Adwords is just look and feel but it cant be a coincidence that just then all my LP's are below average (was average + 3 weeks ago).

Are you sure the content of the landing page (After the redirect) is the same as before it was "average" ? Since you are probably not in control of editing that page... it can change any time and be less relevant to your keywords.

Have you changed anyting in the ad group using that landing page , such as adding keywords or changing the keywords matching type ? This usually reduces overall ad group relevance. If you have added many keywords try creating new ad groups for them.

Review also this guide to understand what can influence the "below average" status : https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2404197?hl=en

On the contrary, we managed to raise the overall CTR. and no significant changes to keywords (besides bid adjustments).
What we did do as a result of this drop is to direct traffic to our home page instead thinking it has a better score (it partly worked) but this is a temporary fix and wont last for long.
