Keywords with Youtube In-stream Ads?

Hi everyone,

I am running a Youtube in-stream ad campaign to a general audience in a specific city in Canada. Right now, I am only targeting based on location, demographics, and running interests and then turning off the interests that have higher CPVs.

If I add keywords to my targeting, will this add keywords as a layer - ONLY target people who fit all the requirements listed above AND have searched any of these keywords?

I hope this question made sense.

Thanks!

Hi @Emily S,

Basically you are correct, however, display keywords are a bit different than search keywords. (Consider that you can only run video ads on the Display Network.)

If you add keywords to your targeting, this will add keywords as a layer - ONLY target users who fit all the requirements listed by you AND most likely to be interested in your business because they are browsing webpages contextually matching a keyword of yours.
