Keyword variation

Hello Experts, I have running a search campaign with multiple exact match keywords. and grouped keywords in a way that none of the keywords competes each other i.e suppose a keyword is [web design company] compete with [website design company] and [web design companies] so I have added three separate adgroup for each keywords and added rest two keyword as negative at adgroup level. But now the problem is keyword is showing that

  • A negative keyword ([web design company]) is preventing your ad from showing.

Please Suggest why this happens. Thank for the Help.

Hello Dhiraj,

 

Please understand that when you are talking about exact match type keyword, it means AdWords is going to take into consideration the close variations of those exact matches as well. See this documentation (https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2497836?hl=en&vid=1-635799711086545663-2931972514 )screenshot:-

You don't need to worry about the close variations otherwise you will witness these sort of issues of preventing ad from being shown.
