Hi smokyjoes and welcome to the forum.

 

My first impressions are that you're in a pretty specialist niche market.  You're selling an unusual product at a fairly high price (although I appreciate the price is probably very reasonable, as smoking jackets go) so conversions are going to be all about hitting the right people.  Of course, that's what all conversions are about but it's easier with some than others.  For some products you just have to target human beings, here you need to be much more precise.

 

I can't really offer much advice without seeing where you are already with your campaign(s).  My approach would always be to look at the keywords and the ad copy - think about the people who fit your customer profile and then decide if the keywords fit that person and if the ad will be attractive.  For improving conversions you're going to need to look closely at your Analytics data in relation to the shopping process.  Are you getting enough visitors, but they don't convert, or are you not getting the visitors in the first place?  Are they dropping out of the buying process after putting item(s) in their cart?

 

Come back with some more detail and we'll try and expand on the advice!

Thanks for responding. We have 75 people putting product in our cart and then they drop off. We now have free shipping and hope this will solve this problem. Right now, we have 1,100 visitors in two months, average fifty a day, 22% bounce rate, with those averaging four pages and almost four minutes on our site. We have about 22 percent returning. We just can't figure it out. Google Adwords we've had few conversions.

If you put in Smoking Jackets, we are one or two on the first page, we want to get ranked for "smoking jacket". Our main competitor for ranking is mysmokingjacket.com and thesmokingjacket.com.
