I am not quite sure what you mean by "advance vs. standard". However to put it simple: The algorithm principles are the same for all campaign types, with no preferences for one over the other. (Moreover; in some cases the system will bring two types of campaigns to a common denominator - "putting them on the same level" - to avoid biased results.) .
The settings may change. But, the setting (e.g. the bid)- are up to your decision.
