Is there a difference in results between proper and lower case?

Hi,

I wonder if there is a difference in results if you bid on proper case keywords (i.e. Cookbook) or lower case keywords (i.e. cookbook). Would I lose traffic if I only bid on "Cookbook" for example?

Many thanks!

Hi

Cookbook and cookbook are same keyword for Google adwords.

More help on this page.

Keywords aren't case-sensitive; they're matched without regard to upper-case or lower-case letters. For example, you don't need to enter chocolate candy and Chocolate Candyas keywords -- just chocolate candy will cover both.

Hope this helps

Hi bl123,

The only time case makes a difference is if you are using DKI (dynamic keyword insertion). In that case, DKI uses the same capitalization as your keyword and you would want to capitalize exactly the way you want it to appear in your ad.

But there is no reason to bid on both.
