Inactive (or close to inactive) ad groups affect performance?
I use several accounts, all very much active for the past couple of years.
In each account I run dozens of campaigns, each of them with dozens of adroups.
Lately I discovered that some of the AdGroups are virtually inactive, although they do generate a few conversions from time to time.
The question is: do these adgroups have any affect on their respective campaigns/accounts performance?
For instance, do they cause a lower quality score due to their inactivity?

Hi Dadi Y, these Groups won't necessarily affect your overall Quality Score merely because of low activity, but overall QS is affected by the QS of every other element so if the Keywords within those Groups have low(er) QS and they don't contribute a positive net profit, I'd be inclined to pause them.
