How to deal with Negative ads

hi,

My competitor bidding on my product keyword got an ad that says don't buy this product instead buy a different one that they advertise. This is impacting my sales. How do I stop this. This seems to be not against the Google advertising policy hence Google is not interested in it. But  how can I deal with this situation?

Hello,

Unfortunately, the keywords are not investigated by Adwords as far as Adwords Trademark Policy is concerned. https://support.google.com/adwordspolicy/answer/6118?hl=en

But they might investigate the Adwords ads if there are some trademark related terms used and if you being an owner has filed a report against that, using this form: https://services.google.com/inquiry/aw_tmcomplaint

I would rather suggest you to stick to the positive Adwords practices like showcasing the importance of your product and how beneficial it is, by giving clear explanation in your ad and in the landing page where you drive users to.

My opinion!
