Hi Lu Lu,

Adding negative keywords is the best way to tackle irrelevant search terms.

But you need to find why this irrelevant queries are triggering your ads.

There can be a lot of reasons behind this, adding some of the major ones below.

  1. Very broad irrelevant keywords - Make sure you have highly targeted keywords in tightly themed ad groups.
  2. Keyword Match type - You havn't mentioned which match type you are using. Using Broad match will attract a lot of irrelevant search queries. If you are using broad match, try using phrase or exact match keywords with negative keywords.
  3. Ad copies - Review your ad copies and make sure they have information to attract the right customers for your business (For example if your product or service is starting from a certain price add that in your ad, this will prevent click from some one who is looking for a price lower than your price)

Hope some of these suggestion helps you to improve your campaign.
