Help needed to split test ads using Adwords campaign drafts and experiments

Hi

I’m trying to use campaign drafts and experiments for the first time.  Splitting traffic 50/50 for the same ads except for a completely different domain.

I’ve created the draft, clicked edit -> download spreadsheet to export the existing ads that use domain A and changed the final urls to use the domain B. I’ve then deleted the existing ads from the draft inside adwords.  The problem is when I upload the spreadsheet with the new ads using domain B, I get all errors for status item not found.

I’ve tried adding a status column back in and setting each ad to Approved but that produces all errors too.

Can anyone advise me how I upload new ads please.

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Kind regards,

Graham

I don't think that you should have deleted the ads in the draft.

Read instructions  about switching a (created) draft into an experiment, in the following  link:
