Hi Edlyn,

If you are getting good number of clicks with a good CTR then either the issue is related to the landing page or the keywords/keywords match type.

May be the keywords opted by you are relevant to your business but are not sales/conversion oriented.

Try such variations of keywords which are more favourable to conversions.

Also, if your are using broad match type keywords then switch to phrase or modified broad match type.

Use general list of negative keywords and don't forget to keep an eye on the SQR to check if the users query were really relevant/irrelevant.

Now the landing page, don't make your landing page very long with a lot of scrolls.

Use strong CTA and highlight the unique features above the fold.

In case, the page is bit long then use the CTA at the bottom as well.

Make sure that the landing page is related to the ads and the keywords.

Additionally, you can not ignore ease of navigation, mobile friendliness with the landing page.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Will give you an example.. what if in two weeks
running campaign the CTR is 1.03%, clicks 134 and the conversion is 7 what
do you think of that?

Regarding the landing page i have a short landing page meaning no need to
scroll up and down.

Let me know your thoughts on this

I don't think that the Conversion rate of 5.22% is bad.

Else, CR depends on the services/niche + your marketing strategies and varies accordingly.

The only thing which need to be focused is the ROI.

There is always a scope of optimisation, perform testing with ads and landing pages, testing with ads positions.

Hi Edlyn,

You can try with bids at keyword level, try with different position to see what works with you best,

For CTR, Try different ad text in your adgroup to see which line catches user attention more.

Manish

I agree with Archit. Your conversion rates are not "bad"...

The only part of an account the end user actually interacts with is the ad. Keep experimenting with ad text and landing pages to see if you can further improve your conversion rates. In addition, keep an eye on your search terms report. Make sure that you are targeting the terms your customers are actually searching for, and exclude irrelevant terms that don't generate any value.
