A customer started using HTML5 ads on the display network.

Is there a way to see the performance metrics (impressions, clics, conversiones, etc.) by ad size?

Thanks...

Hi Luis,

There is a very easy method to do it. You should create seperate adgroups with only one adsize in it. What I normally do is I give the adgroup name as 250x250, 300x250 and so on. This way you can measure the performance of the ad types.
It is scalable if you have less amount of campaigns. But for a large campaign you should go ahead with another strategy, which is tracking through analytics.
You can use the Google Analytics URL Builder Tool https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1033867?hl=en&rd=2
Check the screenshot below, where you can differentiate your ads.

In the image above you can see you need to enter your campaign content as your image sizes. This is an example of the way you can generate custom urls. It is not necessary, you need to follow the same parameters above. You can enter your own custom parameters.

If you create one url, you can use the find-replace function in excel to make bulk changes to all your urls.

Hope this helps!

Hi Chetan, thanks for your response.
Problem is that HMTL5 ads created with Google Web Designer (responsive layout) do not have different sizes.
On ad generates 8 different sizes (320x50, 468x60, 970x90, 300x250, 120x600, 160x600, 300x600 and 336x280).

Then in that case create one ad at a time. That's the only option. I have never used the inbuilt ad designer. The best bet then is you append your urls with he url builder tool. It would be much better. If you cannot append urls immediately in adwords you can append them in editor. It's one hectic task I know.

Sorry for the confusion. I know that you can upload ad by size.
The question is how to differentiate ad size performance when using responsive layout (HTML5 ads with Google Web Designer).
Thanks...
