Sorry, not sure where this question belongs to here:

When there are several people making bidding for the ads to appear, would it be possible for the Google Search to show only one ads (I assume the top bidder) continuosly for several weeks?

Hello qidinguni,

Welcome to the community.

I am not entirely sure I understand your question but it is possible for only one advertiser to show if:

  • There is only one AdWords user bidding on that particular keyword (while also taking the broad match situation into consideration)
  • If only one AdWords user is meeting the minimum bid requirement to have their ad shown.

This could occur for weeks until more advertisers appear.

Hi qidinguni,

Thanks for the question, Scott makes some good points there, but the only thing I would add would be that there is a minimum quality threshold for ads to show as well. Trying to make your ads as relevant and appropriate to your business as possible will help with your quality score.

Hope this helps.
