Frequent Ad Copy Updates

Hi All,

I have a client who wants to update ad copy to reflect new pricing/specials/features on a weekly interval.

My thinking is this is not a wise strategy as Google considers an ad's historical performance to determine estimated CTR and if the existing ads are paused and new ones put in rotation every 5-7 days, it will not strengthen the campaign's overall performance.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Beverly,

I agree with you. I would attempt to use Call Outs's for this pricing strategy and keep a good USP ( unique selling proposition) with the main ad copy to build history.

Hi Beverly, how are things?

I think that the using Ad Customizers don't send your ad for review (not sure about that). So it would be my advice.

Check more about this, here:

And specially here:

Hope this helps.

Many thanks! This client doesn't run a campaign that would benefit from implementing scripts, but that would be a great suggestion if they were. I've decided to move forward with extensions that are easy to update and won't require ad copy updates.

Hi Berverly,

Ad Customizers can be added without the need of scripts. Scripts are just one of the ways to go. I think you can update princing for instance just by uploading a new spreadsheet, without changing the ads. Take a look on the first two links.

Extensions are good way to go to. Hope this works Smiley Happy
