Dynamic Keyword Insertion Effect on Quality Score

Hey Guys

I know this question has been asked in the past but I'm asking it with a bit of a twist.

How does dynamic keyword insertion effect the quality score of a keyword?

1) It can boost the CTR, so it has a positive effect on QS!!

BUT

2) Part of determining QS is also ad relevance so how does dynamic keyword insertion effect the ad relevance part of QS? Does Google scan your default text and use that to determine Ad relevance?

Thanks

Hi @Shaun F great question.  Quality Score is actually calculated for each and every auction an Ad is eligible for so Google will use the actual Ad copy that enters the auction, whether it's the default text or the Keyword text that's been inserted.  The figure shown for QS is an approximation, not an absolute fixed figure.

Hi Shaun F,

When Google says relevance, they mean relevance to the user. It's all about CTR. If the keyword/ad combination gets a good CTR, the ad is considered relevant.

Best of Luck!
