Does using KDI affect ALL KWS in the group?

My AdGroup currently has a myriad of different KWs, including short as well as long-tail phrases. My question is this: If I use a specific word in the KDI section, will it affect all the KWs in this AdGroup, or will it only use the ones that contain this particular word?
For example: I have a few LT phrases starting with HOW. If my ad goes "Wondering {Keyword:how} ..." will it only insert those phrases that contain "how" ?

Thank you kindly in advance!

Cheers,
Anat

Hi Anat,

no, this will work with overall keywords not with the keywords having who in phrase.

Thanks

One last question: so, say my LT phrases are "How to find a ring" and "where to find a ring", my KDI should be... what? {Keyword:ring} ?

Thank you kindly,

@Anat G,

Note that if your keywords phrase is under 30 characters(for headlines in ETA) then only it will be inserted dynamically on the related user query otherwise only ring will be shown in the headline 1/headline 2, if you put{Keyword:ring}

If you are using DKI in standard text ads, the character limit for keywords to be dynamically inserted in ad's headline is restricted to only 25 characters.

Hi Anat,

{Keyword:ring}

You can use any generic term related to your business and services can be used Inside{}. If user search query will not match with any of the keywords in your keyword list then your ad head line will be "ring". So please use long tail keyword with Char Length <= 25 Char.

below are some pattern you can follow.

  • keyword="leather couches"
  • Keyword="Leather couches"
  • KeyWord="Leather Couches"
  • KEYWORD= "LEATHER COUCHES"

Thanks

Gyan
