Does low quality score keywords affect other keywords ad Position ?

Hi,

I had setup a campaign which, now i'm trying to optimize after checking the results.

The status of some keywords is "Eligible" which are having high quality score, some are showing like "rarely shown due to low quality score" and remaining are showing "low search".

According to me, I want to remove all low search keywords and change the keywords which are low quality, am I doing right thing ?

And next question is does the low quality or low search keywords in a ad group affect other keywords performance/ad positions ? If so, what to do then? shall i need to continue with only keywords that are having Good quality score and remove remaining?

Yes low quality score keywords affect other keywords quality score in the ad group , since QS getting affected in this case obviously ad Position of other keywords will also affected . I am sharing a video link here for more info

Hello,

Continual optimization in terms of keywords like pausing the non performing ones and exposing the ones which are high performing is one of the optimization techniques which the advertisers use to fine tune their campaigns. So, IMO, you are going the right way. More details on how to make the best out of your keywords explained here: https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2453976?hl=en&ref_topic=3122868

The Quality of a keyword depends upon many factors like CTR, how the keyword has been performing in the past in a sense that how other advertisers have used it and many more...

Now if you choose a keyword with multiple match types within a single ad group, then chances are that it is going to affect how ads are matched with the user's search query. Read more on this here: https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2756257?hl=en

Hope that helps!

Pankaj

Thank you santhosh for your reply i had gone through the link you provided and watched the video. According to ask adwords experts- it will affect core campaign and other keywords in the campaign.
And, Thanks to pankaj for explaining me in detail and providing the links ...

So, Should I need to check the keywords and remove those that are not performing well ? or should i need to improve the landing page by adding those keywords in the content?

Thanks and Regards
John.
