Hi Vineet,

Bidding high can affect your quality score indirectly.

One of the major components of your quality score is you ad's expected CTR.

So once you bid high, this can improve your ad rank and ad position.

If the improved ad position results in increased CTR, then that will improve your quality score.

Hi Vineet

High bidding doesn't affect quality score of keyword. Both are different parameters and independent of each other. Bidding high affects the AdRank.

Thanks,
Rahul

Hi There,

Bidding high do not directly affect the QS but the overall ad rank. Bidding high can help you acheive a higher ad rank but may not directly impact the quality score as QS is dependent on factors such as ad relevance, Expected CTR and LP experience.

Hope this answers your question.

Thanks!

As all said High Bidding doesn't affect quality score directly but yes it affect indirectly. If you bid high on your keywords it will improve your ad position and your CTR will improve (if your ad copy is relevant and well written) and this will impact your quality score.

Once your quality score and CTR is improved you will see that your CPC is going down. So, in Adwords all are co-related.

Bidding High doesn't affects your QS. For each position Google has different requirements. System undestands that even with relevant message but on low position you can't get as good CTR, as you will get on 1st position, therefore it has different requrements to meet on different positions. There are lot's of advertisers which are not always in TOP but have really good quality scores. So I would not suggest to overpay hoping to get cheaper clicks onwards.
