Do new keywords just perform worse?

Hi, last night I switched all of my broad keywords to phrase, exact, and broad modified.  They are now performing worse and I was wondering if that is because theses particular match types have no history yet?

Thanks!

Hi Clint, welcome to the Community.

Quite possibly, although it's hard to be sure as you've not defined what you mean by "performing".  Are they lower CTR, fewer conversions, higher CPC, etc.?

What's their Quality Score?

Well, most of the QS's are ranging from 5-10, but does it even matter yet since today is the first day they're getting impressions?

I'm bidding extremely high for these keywords that are being delivered in position 3 - 9, where we used to be somewhere closer to 1st and 2nd position for broad terms.

So, the avg. position is worse and the CTR is actually down today.  But everything is far more relevant now since I've changed from regular broad match.

I have a $25 bid right now for "+san +antonio +home +security, it says 10/10 QS and is serving avg. position 4.5.....

What?
