Display search ads based on User's Query

Hi,

Can anyone please guide me on what is the best way to handle the below situation?

I've seen that some advertisers show ads based on user's geography but not the exact location they have entered.

State: South Australia, QLD

Example Suburbs: Unley, Prospect, Toombul

Adwords Ad:

1. Car Loans SA .......,

2. Car Loans QLD...

Now, if someone to search for "car loans Unley" or "car loans prospect", the above ad tend to come up.

While if a user has a search query "car loans toombul", QLD ad comes up.

My query is how Adwords could recognise that Unley and Prospect are SA suburbs and Toombul is a part of QLD and show the respective ads.

Can anyone please guide on how to go setup the above campaigns settings?

thanks

Hi

I believe the advertisers in example given by you have geo targeted campaigns for each of the states.

so for example

campaign

Loans SA

Geo target: South Australia

Ad Group : Car loans

Keywords: +car +loans

Ad copy headline : Car Loans SA

So basically you just create one campaign and then make copies of the same campaign with different geo targeting

Hope this helps

Hi Satwik and welcome to the forum.  Further to theniks' reply it may also be that the advertiser has simply split one campaign into Ad Groups containing Keywords and Ads appropriate for each district/region, or it could be a combination of both Location Targeting and such a split of Ad Groups.

Although not complex, Location targeting and Ad Group structures are key to an effective Adwords campaign and I'd advise that you read up on the subject before you attempt to configure your own account in such a manner.
