Changing Daily budget on Day basis

Is that possible to change my Daily budget on daily basis..lets say I am running a Campaign with DB of Rs200 and I want my DB to be Rs400 on weekends.

In my views we can do this by making two campaigns with different daily budgets and to do Ad scheduling.

Please share your views on this..

Thanks

Puneet

Hi puneetdceengg,

You can do this using automated rules rather than having to have 2 separate campaigns and ad scheduling.

From your campaign view, highlight the campaign you want to change and then click the automate drop down and select "change daily budget when".

So you would want to enter "raise daily budget" 200 (i would always set a max budget of 1 over my limit as a safety precaution in case my lower rule doesn't work, so 401 in this case) Be careful here as you can raise by a % or a fixed figure so you would want to use a fixed figure here.

You can remove the requirements as you don't need them.

Under frequency, set this to weekly, on a saturday and then midnight.

auto rules daily budget increase.png

You would then save this and create a new rule for the same campaign that does the opposite.

Lower daily budget by 200, weekly on monday morning and set a min bid of 199

This should hopefully have you set up the way you mentioned in your example but let me know if you have any trouble or have any other questions.

I would like to the great advice that you already received that You can make bid adjustments directly in the schedule interface to lower or raise in a percentage. There is a special column for bid adjustments, just click on the --- sign in front of a day of the week.

Hi Adrian,

The feature in Enhanced campaign to increase bids according to scheduling is only limited to CPC amount, so it will not be possible to increase Daily budget.

Is there anyway to use this automated rule if you are using a shared budget (two or more yóf your campaigns share the same budget) ?
I get error message when running this rule "Error: Cannot edit shared budge"

Hi Brian,

The best way to get an up-to-date answer is to start your own separate thread. Please go to the top level of the AdWords Community, and from there, click on the board that is most closely related to your question. After that, you can click on the pink "+" sign in the lower right corner of the screen to start a new topic.

Thanks!
