One of my Client want to spend 60% of daily budget in Morning and rest of 40% in after noon. Is that possible without creating two campaigns having separate daily budget and Ad Scheduling..

Thanks

Hi Puneet,

You might be interested in trying Automated rules and use some mathematical calculations to create those rules for particular time period when you want to have high budget and when you want to have low budget.

Read this reference on how you can create these rules and implement it in your client's account.

Make sure to Preview the rule before implementing it in the campaign.

Best of Luck!

Pankaj

Hi Puneet, really the best way to do this is to have separate Campaigns.  What's the reason for not wanting to do this?

How does the Account work in terms of profitability?

A small addition to the great advice from Pankaj :

The rules would have to run every hour to check if the Cost variable of the Campaign is greater than 60% of your daily cost , for example. But because automatic rules run randomly during an hour, you cannot check precisely the threshold so the accurate method would be splitting in 2 campaigns, and also remember that adwords can spend up to 20% more in a day than your daily budget as described here :

https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2375423?hl=en-GB&ref_topic=3123046

You can also setup the automatic rule to check if the Cost is 80 % from (whatever ammount 60% of the daily budget is) and to stop there the campaign if the cost is exceded.

The smoothest way to control this is via the AdWords API or some third-party bid management systems. Though, I'd really question why exactly they insist on such a split without 2 campaigns set on day-parts bidding.
