Can I have two objectives for one ad?

I would like to bid one price for a particular ad to appear to country wide searches but a higher bid (and separate budget) to searchers in particular towns. Should I run two campaigns? Pretty much the same ad...same keywords...just slightly different objectives.

Hi @Gareth J that should be achievable.  The easiest way to do it would be to create one Campaign that targets the cities and another that targets the country, using the same location targets you used for the city Campaign as exclusions.  The best way to do this is via the AdWords Editor (as you can easily copy and paste things like location targets); if you're not already using it, give it a go.

Hi @gareth j,

If you want to give a different budget you only way is by setting a different campaign.
I second @Jon_Garitton, on how to set the campaigns.

Jon, thanks. I am doing that now but had not thought of using the exclusions. I'll give that a go too.
